We have a fuel delivery and service contract with East River, and I wish to appraise
you of the excellent service provided by Mike G., Nate T, and Ray Seward over
the past 24 hours.
Our heating system began to malfunction yesterday when the furnace became
disabled during the cold snap. Although I was able to restart it, it would run for less
than a minute then shut off again. The interior temp dropped very quickly in the frigid
weather. I called East River around 6:30 in the evening and Nate called me back
very quickly. Mike arrived sooner after and began work. He removed a pebble from
the fuel line but problems persisted despite his diligent efforts. Nate himself
subsequently arrived and methodically diagnosed the possible causes and soon
identified the fuel filter as the issue. After the filter was replaced everything
seemed to be in order and both gentlemen cleaned up but remained on hand to
confirm all was well before they departed.
The next morning we noticed one zone would not respond to thermostat inputs. A
fuel leak also appeared at the front of the furnace. Ray Seward quickly responded.
He identified a faulty hydraulic jack and the need to adjust the temperature
differential settings on the furnace controller. His many years of experience was
evident as he quickly resolved all issues. All of the service personnel from
East River were approachable, accommodating, patient and professional. Please
