Biodiesel is 100% renewable, has zero emissions and is a locally-grown fuel that is deliverable everywhere in Connecticut. Efficient and clean fuel also reduces the wear and tear on a home heating system, which translates to fewer tune-ups. Fewer tune-ups will save you money both long and short term.

Prepaid Plan
This plan secures a locked-in price for your heating oil for the entire season. You simply decide how many gallons you will need, make a one-time payment, and then rest easy knowing your oil will be delivered to you all season at a set price. If you submit your signed contract and make your payment by check, you will save 5 cents per gallon.
Budget Cap Plan
This plan provides a convenient way to budget home heating costs over a 12-month period and to avoid unexpected price spikes. Your monthly payment beginning August 1st of the current year through July 31st of next year is based on the gallons you estimate you will use during the heating season.
To calculate your price, simply multiply the gallons you will require by the budget price, and then divide by 12 to determine your monthly payment. Enrollment in this plan requires a non-refundable, one-time fee* which guarantees if our daily price is lower than your capped price on the day of your delivery, you will receive the lower of the two prices. Your price will never exceed the capped price. If you submit your signed contract and make your monthly payment using direct withdrawal (EFT), you will save 10 cents per gallon. The discount will end once your cap price is reached.

Price of the Day Budget Plan
Under this plan, your price fluctuates with the market, and this option allows you to budget your home heating costs over a 12-month period. To arrive at your budget payment, we will use your historical oil usage pattern multiplied by the seasonally “to be determined” price of the day divided by 12. Should the price of the day or your usage exceed the amount of budgeted gallons, a slight adjustment may be made to your payment to minimize any potential remaining balance. If there is a credit on your account at the end of the season, this amount may be applied to lower your payments for the following season. If you submit your signed contract and make your monthly payment using direct withdrawal (EFT), you will save 10 cents per gallon.
Price of the Day Plan
The price you pay is our daily delivered price, which fluctuates with the daily market price of heating oil. If you submit your signed contract and make your payment by direct withdrawal (EFT) within 10 days of delivery, you will save 10 cents per gallon.

Types of Deliveries
Automatic Delivery
Many of our customers rely on East River Energy’s computerized degree-day system to calculate and schedule their deliveries automatically. With our state of the art technology, we monitor your oil usage for your heat and hot water. Automatic Delivery is the most convenient way to heat your home. You’ll never have to check your oil tank gauge again. We do it for you.
Will Call Delivery
If you are a ‘Will Call’ customer, you are responsible for monitoring your own tank and are requested to call for a delivery 48 hours in advance, especially during extreme cold and hazardous weather conditions. We recommend you schedule a delivery when your tank gauge reads 25% or greater. If you allow your tank to run out of oil, we will make a delivery as soon as possible during regular weekday delivery hours. If you run out of oil on a weekend or after hours, we will deliver and start your system for an additional charge.

What is Bioheat?
East River Energy is proud to introduce Bioheat to their residential customers. Bioheat is good for our environment and good for your home heating equipment.
What is Bioheat?
“Bioheat” is a heating oil blend containing biodiesel, a renewable fuel. It helps heating oil burn cleaner, making it better for the environment and home heating systems. The fuel is comprised of East River Energy premium heating oil blended with biodiesel to create “bioheat”. Biodiesel is made from soybean oil and processed from other fats and vegetable oils.
Why use Bioheat?
Bioheat helps heating oil burn cleaner within a boiler or furnace, which is better for the environment and can also help maintain cleaner heat exchangers thus extending the life of a customer’s heating system. Biodiesel is a natural, biodegradable fuel, obtained from recyclable, organic sources such as soybeans produced largely right here on American farms. Biodiesel acts as a solvent that keeps equipment free of sludge and other debris build up as well as a superior lubricant agent extending the life of equipment. The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates that if everyone in the Northeast heating with oil utilized a bioheat with a blend of 5%, 50 million gallons of heating oil would be conserved.
Is Bioheat reliable?
East River Energy’s bioheat with a blend ratio of up to 5% is extremely reliable. Similar products have been extensively utilized in European markets for many years with great success. East River Energy combines our proven premium heating oil with the best biodiesel available in the market to produce our very own bioheat.
Do I need to change my heating equipment?
East River Energy’s bioheat requires no changes to existing equipment or storage tanks.
